Little People Early Learning Center is a reliable private licensed Center-Based Child-Care Center located in East Stroudsburg, PA. We provide the best-in-class education for children ages six-weeks through 12 years of age. Our passion is to provide a high-quality program that is designed to meet the needs of children. Our programs focus on an early introduction to reading and finance. As a rule, the school will offer 3 full, balanced meals and two snacks along with offering a full-time educational program for the following:
Waddlers to Toddlers (6 weeks to 24 months): Our Waddler/Toddler program is designed to provide each child with a safe and nurturing environment that will stimulate learning at an early age. The teacher actively charts the development of each child and provides parents with daily communication regarding their child’s personal care routine.
Little Two’s (24 Months to 36 Months): In the little two’s class, teachers actively work towards potty training each child. In an effort to prepare the children for the preschool program, children are introduced to the concept of center play. Furthermore, the curriculum provides a strong vocabulary enriched base so that literary skills may be introduced to children. Early introduction to finance and money management is also approached through piggy bank saving concepts.
Preschool/Pre-K (3-5-Year-Olds): Little People LLC Preschool and Pre-K curriculum introduces several training concepts such as literacy, math and finance, and critical thinking skills. Vocabulary is very important at this stage, as children will begin to learn the art of writing. At this stage, as we introduce writing, we focus on penmanship as well. The classroom is organized into centers such as reading, science, math, and writing. Furthermore, children are exposed to a print-rich environment, which allows students to associate written language with oral language. Parents are fully aware of their child’s academic progress through quarterly assessment tools and parent-teacher conferences.
School Age (Kindergarten Through 12 Years): The before and after-school daycare program provides care for full-day kindergarten through 5th-grade students. Early drop-off and the extended day after school services are provided to this group, as well as drop-in Saturday service. The teachers provide a variety of enrichment activities, including but not limited to games, physical fitness, stories, finance made simple, homework help, and arts and crafts. Our summer camp allows children from first to fifth grades to explore a variety of interests. Throughout the summer, the children have opportunities to take field trips that stimulate learning and enhance their camp experience.
